As most of you know, Andrew was scheduled to leave for North Carolina to attend MOS school for a month. He would have left on Mother's Day and returned June 12th. We accepted this leave of absence with the hope that he'd most likely return before the baby arrives. Unfortunately, the Military has a difficult time setting things in stone. We were told last week that he would NOT be attending school in May and could possibly leave in June or August. Our immediate concern was with the June date as that would ensure his missing of the birth. We are crossing our fingers for August and will hopefully get a confirmed date here any day now. Our other concern is now that he isn't attending school in May, the Marine Corps. might send him to California for 2 weeks to attend annual training... which is in June. All of these possibilities have a very good chance of being right in the middle of our due date. Luckily, Andrew's Sergeant told him he MIGHT be able to consider MOS training as combined annual training. This would kill two birds with one stone! We're shooting for the August training in North Carolina as that would allow Londyn and I to go visit daddy for a couple weeks. Lots of prayers and open-minded thinking is keeping us positive that the ideal situation will come our way. If Heavenly Father has another plan in mind for us, our faith will most definitely be tested but we will trust in his plan for us.

I have found comfort in a talk given by Elder David A. Bednar, Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, entitled The Tender Mercies of the Lord. Click on the link!
